Lots of New Info!
Hi treckers and parents!
First - If you haven't started following us on the other social media platforms you might want to do that right away - it's the easiest way for us to get information to you.
And on to the important stuff!
BUT WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?
Men -Cotton pants (docker type/no levis), light colored long sleeve shirts, western style hat, suspenders.
Women -2 skirts (mid-calf or longer), light colored long sleeve blouse or dress, 1 or 2 bonnets, bloomers or cotton pj bottoms, aprons with pockets.
Everyone - 2 pairs of shoes and a 5-gallon bucket with lid. It is suggested that you pad the lid so it may be used as a seat.
We will have a Stake sewing day (see below) to assist the Young Women. The YW can bring their fabric with them and we will have R.S. sisters who will be ready with sewing machines to help. If you have any youth that need fabric donated or need assistance with purchasing clothing, please let us know.
REMEMBER YOUR PIONEER ANCESTORS
Each Trekker is encouraged to find their own family history of a pioneer who came to Utah. The youth will be sharing some information about who they are “Walking for” at the first nights fireside. Youth will need to have a name by the parent meeting on April 19th. If youth are unable to find a name, we will assign one to them with some included history.
NEW FRIENDS
Our trek families will include youth from different wards. We will plan on keeping at least 2 youth from each ward in a family. We will take requests that you feel are necessary to ensure a good experience for all.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
